One Union Square in downtown Seattle is a 36 story office tower. One of Seattle’s best known sky-scrapers with a cladding assembly constructed of an aluminum and glass curtain wall system. TG was awarded to project through a competitive bidding process. The scope of maintenance & repair work consisted of a full replacement of approximately 2,160 lineal feet of sealant at the 36th floor skylight system. In addition, we installed over 800 lineal feet of per-cured silicone weatherstrip at multiple transition details.

A unique aspect of this project was the access point to reach the work area. One small hatch allowed you to crawl out onto the center of each of the skylight systems. Protection was installed over the skylights as the installers worked their way back to the point of access. Given the workers were installing sealant while crawling directly over interior office spaces, all safety precautions were taken. TG successfully completed this project on-time, within budget, and with minimal changes.
